PICNIC DRESS INSPIRATION

OH MY HEAVENS.

Does life just ever get so dang crazy for anyone else? In the past few weeks, I've been on such an emotional roller coaster with the highest highs, and the lowest lows. I'll share more in depth on the highs in my life soon. But not yet. ;)

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw my post about one of the hardest times in my life. A couple weeks back, my dad fell and hit his head, resulting in a bleed in his brain. We had to rush him to the hospital to be admitted for a few days while the doctors ran some tests to figure out whether or not he'd need brain surgery. It was truly one of the scariest experiences of my life. It was so sudden and unexpected that my entire family and I were in a state of shock. It's hard to put into words the exact feeling. Terror, shock, sadness, uncertainty. Your brain goes to the worst place imaginable. As a major daddy's girl, I felt such a strong sense of grief that brings tears to my eyes even writing this. My whole world felt as though it was shattering and I didn't think I'd be able to make it if anything happened to him.

By the grace of God, we found out he wouldn't need surgery and that the bleed was small enough that the body should heal itself. I know that my dad has a long journey toward a full recovery, but I'm just so thankful that I get to see his smiling face, hear his joyful laugh and give him bear hugs whenever I want.

I'm pretty sure my parents are sick of me being all up in their business, but I don't even care because time together is so fleeting. Don't take it for granted and definitely don't waste it.

On another note, I received this picnic print dress from Revolve a few weeks ago and haven't wanted to take it off since. I kid you not, it is soooooo incredibly flattering on and is so well made. It looks like it's sold out now, but keep checking because they might bring it back! Or check out some different styles of their using the same picnic print! I linked to them at the bottom of this post!
