Jake is thee most ticklish person. He makes the cutest laughing noise and starts laughing uncontrollably. It's my favorite.
For the record, this pose was my idea. (Can't let Jake take the credit haha) I can't jump for crap and I was in heels or else I would have attempted to join in. :)

I'm SO excited to share these photos with you guys! We took these during Jake's surprise birthday weekend which he was suppppper thrilled about hahahaha. But really, he ended up having a good time because Annie, the photographer, is amazing and hilarious and makes you feel like you're best friends in five seconds flat. She truly captured our relationship to a T; all the joy, all the laughter, all the love. I'm so beyond thankful that we'll always have these photos to look back on.

If you've been following me for at least a year now, you'll know that I shared how hard it's been out in Arizona for us. I think Jake and I would both agree that our time out here has been the absolute hardest on us as individuals, and on our marriage. It seems like when we moved here, we seemed to lose more than the comfort of a familiar place and familiar faces. We lost a bit of who we are, what we believe in, and what we want to be. I for one, lost a large part of inspiration for this blog of mine, and am still working toward figuring out what I want to do with it. (If you guys have ideas as to what you want to see on here, feel free to let me know!)

We have been tested time and time again, and still haven't really gotten to a spot where we can truly just breathe. But through all the ups and downs in Arizona, we've somehow grown closer. We rely on one another. We haven't given up. We are there.

He is my safe place, and I am his.

  1. I am dying at the ones of you guys with your pup. So cute. I kinda get how you feel about living away in Arizona!! We moved to Oregon knowing nobody, and it's been hard but at the same time I'm so grateful we get to experience being away. We've learned so much about each other in ways we wouldn't have, have we stayed in Utah.

    1. You're the sweetest human alive. The black and white one of all of us posing like something out of Lion King is my phone screen saver hahaha. I'm glad you guys are learning so much in your new home! It's definitely hard but such a growing experience. <3

  2. I love the cheesemans!!!! Seriously, you two are way too darling!! And you're seriously stunning!!! Wishing Arizona was easier, but I'm so glad you two have each other!

    1. And we love YOU!!! You are truly a light of sunshine and I am blessed to call you my friend. Thanks for always being so loving and supportive! xoxo

  3. Amazing pictures :)

  4. Awesome photos, thanks for sharing, you guys look so happy together.
    Have a great weekend!
    Xoxo, Victoria
