NYFW is such an important time for people in the fashion industry because it is when designers will showcase their collections for the next season. They show their collections about six months before releasing them to the general public so that buyers can have ample time to decide which pieces to bring in to stores, media/editors can prepare content on trends, etc. So while I was out there, I saw shows displaying spring/summer 2016 collections.
One of my favorite presentations was by O'2ND. Admittedly, I hadn't heard of them until I received an invitation to attend their show. But I looked them up prior to heading out and fell hard for them. I found out that they're based out of Seoul Korea but have been making big strides in the U.S.
Their spring/summer collection only fed my new obsession with them even more. O'2nd focused a lot on pretty pastels and flowing silhouettes. Their modern twist on classic pieces is done so beautifully and seeing the pieces up close actually took my breath away. The powder blue top and skirt set (photo 8), the black jumpsuit (photo 6 & 11), and the white, oversized suit set (photo 3 far right) are a few of my top picks. But truthfully, I wouldn't be mad if any/all of these pieces magically appeared in my closet.
Thank you O'2nd for having me! Below some of my favorite O'2nd pieces that are available right now. Click on the images to get more details:
