Photography + Videography: Casey James Photography
Wreaths: Amber Reverie
A new year means a new start. There's something about a fresh bed of snow that gives me that feeling of starting over: a clean slate. I'm so thankful for all the opportunities that have come my way this year, including this beautiful collaboration with the photo wizard of all photo wizards, Casey of Casey James Photography . He is seriously one of the best photographers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. We are kindred spirits, who understand each other's vision. It's truly beautiful (and rare) when you come across another creative who visualizes a concept the way you hope they do. Plus, how often do you encounter a photographer who does videography too? The talent is real, people.
Then, my dearest Amber of Amber Reverie put her enchanting touch on the wreaths for both Ellie-Girl and I and voila. Beauty. (Yes, I did end up stealing Ellie's mini wreath for my head. You would have too. It's just too pretty. Plus she hated wearing it and was freezing her little eight-pound butt off.)
I opted for mainly neutrals for our outfits and of course had to incorporate gold into one of my outfits. The colors turned out delicious. The frosty greys, dusty blues, and forest greens mixed together in only the loveliest of ways. It's safe to say that I'm completely enamored with these photos. If it tickles your fancy, hop over to Style Me Pretty to see the feature they did on this snow-capped love shoot!
Happy New Year! From my loved ones to yours.
