My Heart and Soul

So there are these lovely ladies that I know.

They are the most amazing and loyal and funny and cute and gorgeous gals in the world.
...And they happen to be my very best friends in this world. (Guess it's just the luck of the draw?)

Since I was about to ask these gems to be by my side on the most special day of my life, I wanted to ask them in a special and memorable way. (I had to be sure they'd say yes! wink.)

Anyways, I spent more time and effort on these boxes than I probably should have but it was worth it. They all loved them and I loved that they loved them.

First, I used chalk to personalize each box with their names. Inside, I included a card asking them to be my bridesmaid. Underneath, I put a simple gold pendant necklace that I found at Nordstrom in a glass cork bottle. (The bottles were on sale for $0.99 at Michaels! Wish I bought more.) Since my girls are probably going to have mis-matched bridesmaid dresses, I wanted them to have something to unify their look even if it's just a simple necklace. Next, I included a paint chip with the colors I'd like them to stay close to. (Thanks Lowe's! You are neat.) I then created detailed info that they would need to know for the wedding. Lastly, I provided pictures of dresses I thought each individual girl would look fab in just to get their wheels turning.

Ta-da! I hope you like the boxes as much as my lovely friends did. It was a triumphant moment in my life when they all accepted the invitation to be my support system throughout this journey toward marriage.

Everything wedding related seems to be blowing up in my face but I'm still SO excited for May 10, 2013. Holy. It's not even real how excited I am.

*disclaimer: One box isn't shown in the first picture because I had already given it away. Love you Mas.
